primary objective
The primary objective is to positively impact the lives of children living in the community by providing support and services on the following child well-being indicators:
- Children safe in their homes and community
- Children successful in school as evidenced by report card grades, test scores, graduation, college enrollment, and career preparation
- Children experiencing healthy development supported by a healthy community
A secondary objective will be to provide opportunities for adults who are interested in being empowered by enhancing their education, life skills, and effective communication skills.
outcomes / targets
Academically, participating children/youth will
- Function on or above grade level by Public School standards in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Earn a grade of “B” or better in Mathematics, Reading / English / Language Arts as measured by the report card grades.
- Have an attendance rate that will exceed the state’s satisfactory standard
- Graduate from high school with a high school diploma or earn a GED.
- Have zero suspensions / office referrals .
- Be able to identify sources of support within the school and in the community.
- Be prepared to attend and complete college and/or start a career

LEAP Diversify came into fruition with the help of and as a result of research conducted by students on a consultancy module lead by Doirean Wilson, Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University.
